What we believe

We are excited that you are checking out Believers’ Community Church!

Whether you are simply curious about God, looking for a church to call home or just wondering who we are, you have come to the right place! Believers’ is a church that we hope anyone can be comfortable in, no matter your background or where you are on your spiritual journey. Pastor David’s favorite saying is, “It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done. What matters is who you are becoming and where you’re headed.” We truly believe that!

Believers’ is a Life-Giving Church. We teach God’s Word. We love people. We believe that the church should be a hospital for the hurting, not a “country club for the saints”. We don’t judge people based on what they wear or what they look like. In fact, we don’t even have an ‘unwritten’ dress code. Dress in what you are comfortable wearing. Most people at our church wear blue jeans and t-shirts. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee, the company of genuine people and God’s Word.

We Believe

About God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About The Scriptures

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write words of Scripture. The New Testament is our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine.

About Mankind

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

About Salvation

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin. One who physically dies in his sins without Christ is eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting.

About Christian Life

We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and being baptized in the Holy Spirit, every believer will mature and receive power to be a witness in this world.

About The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.

About Ordinances

We believe the two scriptural ordinances of a New Testament church are baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We follow our Lord’s command to give public evidence of our salvation with baptism by water and faithfully remember Christ’s cleansing blood and broken body with the elements of Holy Communion.
